Have Nothing To Do With Them

 Titus 3:9-11, 9But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.

 10A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject;

 11Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.

2 Timothy 3:4-5,

4Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

 5Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

I Thessalonians 4:11-13,

11And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;

 12That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.

 13But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

Ephesians 5:10-12,

 10Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.

 11And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

 12For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.

(verse 12 is very interesting — it is a shame to speak of what they do — if someone you know has done things that you are ashamed to speak of & they continue doing those things & they call themselves a Christian I’d say it’s a good time to ask the Lord if you need to be around that person any longer)

We are in this world but we are not of the world.  If a so-called brother is doing things you know God isn’t pleased with then get away from him.  That’s how I interpret what I’ve read.  The days are growing darker.  There are those who put on sheep clothing but they are ravenous wolves.  I was warned to run away from these kind of people and there was a time when I didn’t run away quickly enough.  I was once duped into thinking it’s okay if the person says with their mouth they are walking with God & they say they are sorrowful for their sins then they must be on the right track.

Beware of this:  People that say they want to do right but they don’t actually do what is right are the kind of people you want to stay away from.

ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS!

Imperfect – Part 2

How do we steer clear of these kind of people?

The kind of people we are supposed to stay away from usually visit church & sometimes they visit often.  They are wolves in sheep clothing afterall.

How do we warn others about what kind of person they really are if they have shown us their extremely bad actions and the churches sometimes fall prey to forgetting that there is supposed to be a Godly confrontation with those kind of people?

I’ve come to guess that we just do our best to do what we know is right & let God handle the rest.

I am not perfect.  Duh………. like any of us are.

One of my pet peeves is how I’ve struggled with not knowing how to deal with certain things.

I’ve read in the Bible about the importance of staying away from so-called Christians that do not follow God’s Word.  They are the pretenders.  They are the wolves in sheep clothing.  They are hard to spot.  Once  you spot them it is my understanding that we are not supposed to spend time with them.   From what I’ve read it is made clear that the writer wasn’t saying we are to stay away from all people in the world for we are in the world but we are not of it.  The writer was speaking of the kind of people that claim to know the Lord &  they claim to follow JESUS having made Him their personal Lord & Savior & then they consistently do things that are against Biblical teachings.

Romans 6

1What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?

 2God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

 3Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

 4Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

 5For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

 6Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

 7For he that is dead is freed from sin.

 8Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:

 9Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.

 10For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.

 11Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

 12Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

 13Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

 14For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

 15What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.

 16Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

 17But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.

 18Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

 19I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.

 20For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.

 21What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.

 22But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

 23For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord
