Carbon Copies

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

I was pondering today on the fact that we do want to be carbon copies of Jesus.  We want to be all He wants us to be.

We know that He doesn’t want us to be carbon copies of one another though or we’d all look alike, sound alike, and we’d all have the same fingerprints, wouldn’t we?

Whether you are a member of the body of Christ called to be used as a foot helping carry the body of Christ across the lands or whether you are called to be a mouth or a spokesperson for God do what you know He wants you to do and do it with all your might.

I believe it’s important for each of us to respect our differences.  We were made different for a God’s purpose.  If you see a brother that doesn’t think exactly the way you think don’t expect him to change just for you.  As long as he is doing what God called him to do let him do it with all his might.  Encourage him to follow God’s leading.  If your sister doesn’t do things exactly the way you think she should be doing those things don’t tell her she’s doing it all wrong.  Don’t even allow the devil to cause thoughts of division to come forth in your mind towards your fellow servants in Christ just because they don’t do what you want them to do when you want them to do things.  As long as they are obedient to the Word of God and while they are loving others the way God wants them to love others encourage them.

Too many people in the body of Christ are God players.  Too many Christians expect all people that call themselves Christians to walk around dressing the way they dress and doing the same things they do.  I don’t believe this is God’s way.  God doesn’t want us to be puppets on strings and He does not want us to be in control of everything everywhere all the time.

God wants us to realize He is in control.  Let’s face it no one will ever be able to have more control than God anyway.  God is the One who is really in control of all things. No one can do a better job at being Lord of All than Our God can.

God wants to be in charge of your life, your church, and  your home.  If you take up your cross to follow Jesus you will find it much easier to stop criticizing your brother.  As you die to your own selfish desires you will be able to follow Christ showing more love than you’ve ever shown before.

Love does not demand it’s own way.  Jesus didn’t walk around telling everyone they had to do what he wanted them to do.  He called men and they freely chose to follow Him.  God has always been a gentleman letting people decide whether or not they want to go with Him.  How can we be carbon copies of Jesus if we don’t allow other people the freedom to choose how they are going to do things?

Give freedom and space to your fellow believers.  Let them walk the walk God has called them to walk.  Allow them to be different than you sometimes.  It’s right and good to expect them to obey the Lord following Godly teachings.  It is acceptable to hold them accountable to each other in ways the Scriptures say we should hold one another accountable.  It is not okay to insist that they do everything our own way.

Romans 13:7-9

Friday, November 6th, 2009

7Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.

8Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

9For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Reply To Julie About The Carbon Copies Writing

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

My friend, Julie, sent me a comment about today’s writing.  Here is my reply to her thoughts.  I am so blessed she gets time to spur me on to write more.  I welcome the encouragement and comments shared by fellow believers in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Here is the reply I sent her way:

You are right, Christ Jesus loved us so much He died for us even when He knew we’d walk
in sin.

You don’t clean up the fish before it’s caught.  It’s after the fish is caught
that you clean it up.  That’s only one way to partially explain it because Jesus doesn’t
want us filleted and eaten after he catches us, does he?  HE wants us to die to
our selfish desires but He wants us to live for Him whole and wholly accepted by
Him no matter where we’ve been and what we’ve done in our past.

God loves us the way we are and He wants us to love others.  There are things we
should do by bearing good fruit after we accept Him as our Savior but we must
understand that everyone doesn’t grow at the same pace either, right?

I am thanking God for the many things I’m learning.  May it be that I can use
all He is teaching me to be a better Christian for my main goal is to serve Him
with all my heart.

I need Jesus daily.

The clothing (things people wear) & tattoo (scars they may have from their past life of rebellion & due to their ignorance about taking care of the temple of God) issue only covers a portion of how I believe God wants us
to quit putting people in boxes limiting their ability to serve Him.  God cannot
be placed in a box and yet some of us still try to place Him in a box as if we
know Him better than anyone else.

We are still learning.  We are still able to make mistakes.  We are still
vulnerable to the attacks of the enemy.  I feel it should be our goal to keep
drawing near to God knowing He promises to draw near to us.  We should keep
resisting the devil so he will flee.

The devil comes to steal, kill, and to destroy.  The devil likes to cause
division.  The devil wants to steal people’s relationships with other Christians
because we are meant to encourage one another.  The devil wants to kill our
focus on God because he’d rather have us focus on unholy things this world
offers us.  The devil hasn’t changed much he keeps wanting to send forth destruction. The devil will cause confusion where he is able to do so.  Know that I think one of the devil’s tactics is to keep us from being faithful to things we said we would do.  The devil will try to confuse us to keep us from following through with doing things we have committed to God to do. If we are to be effective witnesses for Christ Jesus we will need to follow Jesus by being faithful at all times.  Being faithful to God in a fallen world isn’t easy but it is part of obeying God.

God still wants obedience even more than He wants our sacrifices.

I’m glad God is greater than the devil!

If you’ve found that you have been tricked by the enemy into becoming complacent or by being a procrastinator then rebuke the devil and he will flee.  Draw near to God asking God to help you do what He wants you to do.  Do what God wants you to do no matter what others say or think.

Praise God.  Praise God that God is stronger than the devil.  I read the back of
the book and the devil loses.  God is the winner!!!

Carbon Copies

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009
I was pondering today on the fact that we do want to be carbon copies of Jesus.
We want to be all He wants us to be.

We know that He doesn't want us to be carbon copies of one another though or
we'd all look alike, sound alike, and we'd all have the same fingerprints,
wouldn't we?

Whether you are a member of the body of Christ called to be used as a foot
helping carry the body of Christ across the lands or whether you are called to
be a mouth or a spokesperson for God do what you know He wants you to do and do
it with all your might.

I believe it's important for each of us to respect our differences. We were
made different for God's purpose. If you see a brother that doesn't think
exactly the way you think don't expect him to change just for you. As long as
he is doing what God called him to do let him do it with all his might.
Encourage him to follow God's leading. If your sister doesn't do things exactly
the way you think she should be doing those things don't tell her she's doing it
all wrong. Don't even allow the devil to cause thoughts of division to come
forth in your mind towards your fellow servants in Christ just because they
don't do what you want them to do when you want them to do things. As long as
they are obedient to the Word of God and while they are loving others the way
God wants them to love others encourage them.

Too many people in the body of Christ are God players. Too many Christians
expect all people that call themselves Christians to walk around dressing the
way they dress and doing the same things they do. I don't believe this is God's
way. God doesn't want us to be puppets on strings and He does not want us to be
in control of everything everywhere all the time. God wants to be in control.

Love does not demand it's own way. Jesus didn't walk around telling everyone

acceptable to hold them accountable to each other in ways the Scriptures say we
should hold one another accountable. It is not okay to insist that they do
everything our own way.

We should not even want other members in the body of Christ to imitate us. We
know we are not perfect. We know we aren't going to be perfected this side of
heaven. We should want to encourage each other to walk as Jesus walked. We
should also graciously recall that none of us is able to do all things perfect
at all times.

These hints are left on here hoping that someone will be blessed to read this,
pray about this, and to put anything good shared here into practice.

Aspartame Aspartic Acid Additives = Danger

Thursday, December 25th, 2008

I was warned about using non nutritive sweeteners years after I had already been drinking diet sodas that had aspartame put in them.  It took a while for me to get used to the fact that the ingredients that I was once led to believe wouldn’t harm me were causing me problems.

A friend of mine sat me down and told me she wanted me to stop using nutrasweet products.  She finally got my attention and I quit using it.  I had started to get a sort of brain fog or short term memory loss that went away within weeks of my decision to stop using aspartame.

I reviewed some of the things I read about aspartame recently.  I’m listing a few things others may want to be aware of in case they haven’t already heard these things before.

I’ve read on some online searches that it is believed that some of these additives could be the cause of tumors.  Brain tumors and lung tumors are included in the list of malignant tumors that I read about.  Conduct your own search if you like and see what you can find when you look for dangers listed about some of these products.

Here is a quick and simple review I wrote after reading a new report about these type of additives:

Additives to stay away from

Aspartame

Aspartic acid

Phenylalanine

Msg

Monopotassium glutamate

Autolyzed yeast

Hydrolyzed protein

Sodium casein ate

Sodium nitrate

Sodium erythorbate

Preservative (can be listed on the label)

Any type hydrogenated oil – transfat a manmade fat beware that if there is less than .5 gram in a product it can be labeled trans fat-free and still have a transfat in it

NutraSweet

Equal

Spoonful

My friend told me a person is probably better off drinking water than using any of the additives that are non nutritive — if you have diabetes and you don’t want to have sugar for obvious reasons then drink water instead of those diet drinks that have these dangerous sweeteners in them.

***************

Here is a list of  a few things that can be caused by sensitivity to non nutritive sweeteners

Migraines/headaches

Depression/anxiety/irritability

Difficulty dealing with stress

Insomnia

Extreme tiredness

Skin conditions

Increased sugar and carb cravings

Weight gain

Memory problems

Brain fog

Hyperactivity

Aspartame is in  thousands of food products and in many over the counter and medicines.  I read that  75% of women today consume this sweetener. I’m supposing they do not realize how it is harming their bodies.

Aspartame damages the myelin sheath of neurons – this is not a good thing

Drink plenty of water and quit using aspartame & the other additives if you want to start to cleanse your body of these additives.

May have any – all – or problems not listed here as only some scientists & doctors are being more aware of aspartame toxicity – some of the symptoms are possibly causing people to be misdiagnosed.
