God made me glad!

I woke up today and received several phone calls from sweet ones in my life.

I spent time in God’s Word pondering on many things I felt he blessed me to read.  Peace enveloped my heart as I began to dwell on God!  I found notes reminding me that I want to be in line with God’s will.  I remembered the pastor talking about some of the same things I read in the past few days.  God is confirming things to me.

Psalms 91 was reviewed.  I found notes from years ago.  The notes I wrote before came alive to me again.

I am blessed to have been able to eat a good breakfast and a tasty lunch.  I drank coffee and milk.  I looked out the window seeing a hummingbird enjoy a drink from it’s feeder.  I also saw the yellow buttercups that are blooming.

Beth’s dog, Joy, quietly follows me everywhere I go.  All is restful and quiet here today. I am so blessed. 

This past weekend was filled with me being the happy recipient of joyful times going places with family.  It was great that I was able to reconnect with some old friends, too.  Church attendance was also enjoyed.

Last night I sat on the back porch enjoying a small cool breeze.  It was so nice to be outdoors that I asked Joy if she wanted to take a walk with me.  Joy quietly walked beside me without having a need for her leash. 

Peace and rest came to me.  God gives his beloved rest.  God is so good. 

It is my prayer that all God’s people will know of his rest.

I’m sorry to say the most recent post got lost in cyberspace.

I wrote something to post on here about ten hours ago.  I thought it was properly saved and published.  Something went wrong and it got lost in cyberspace.

It’s not fun to have to rewrite things especially when it’s only in your memory bank. 

I am smiling though.  There are a lot of things in life we find we don’t want to have to redo.  Then there comes a time when you accept the fact that you cannot get back what you’ve lost.

I will pray about rewriting the thoughts I shared earlier today at another time.  I may just come up with an entirely new subject to write about.

This is the day the Lord has made.  Let us rejoice and be glad in this day the Lord made.

Go to Psalm 118:24 to see words encouraging us to rejoice.

We are reminded that the Lord made the days we get to wake up to.

In Phillipians 4:4 you will see more encouragement from God’s Word to rejoice.   There are plenty of places where we are reminded to be joyful.

Look at how the King James version talks about the joy of the Lord in Nehemiah 8:10, “ Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our LORD: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”

I found the email addresses of more Christians on my old computer.  That gave me the opportunity to send an invitation to a few more people so they can read things that are being placed on this new site.
