Have You Seen MEET THE ROBINSONS ?

Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010

My grandson wanted to see a movie.  He walked over to the dvd rack and picked out a movie he had not seen before.  He picked the Disney movie called “Meet the Robinsons.”

How did God let that happen?  How is that the child’s movie could be used by God to minister to me?  I saw things taught in the Bible coming forth in that movie.  Some may wonder how that happened.  I just accept it all as a happy thing that helped me focus on good today.

The movie has words on the dvd box that say, “A dazzling vision of the future”  -  It’s true that God tells us things in the Bible that tell us our future is expected to be a bright one.

If you have not seen the movie yet you may want to view it soon.

I can leave a few words on here to help others know what stood out to me during the movie.

  1. God’s Word says we are to put the past behind us and we are to press on – the movie mentions a motto about how we are to KEEP MOVING FORWARD.
  2. God’s Word tells us that THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE – Those words are spoken in this movie.
  3. We are told in God’s Word that WE NEED TO MAKE RIGHT CHOICES KNOWING WE ARE ACCOUNTABLE FOR OUR OWN ACTIONS.  This is also mentioned in this movie.
  4. The movie also proclaims something else that we know is true.  A person must accept responsibility for their own actions.  Some people call this stepping up to the plate.  God’s Word tells us in I John 1:9 we are to confess our sins & then we know God will forgive us and cleanse us.  If we have a bad habit of blaming others for our sins/mistakes/errors then we cannot be free from the sin that so easily entangles us.

I heard words in songs shared in this movie that reminded me that we are to let go.  How many people talk about letting go and letting God take care of things?  It is important for us to remember God is in control of all things.

The movie also shows that if the mind is allowed to be controlled by bad thoughts bad things will occur.  We have a need to focus on good things.  God not only wants us to have good thoughts but He wants us to carry out good things while we are on this earth.

We went on a canoe trip. It was great!  It was my first time taking a trip up and down a River.  I am hoping it won’t be the last time we do something like that.

It’s That Time Of Year Again

It’s Springtime!

This seems to be a busy time of year.  I read last year’s post seeing that the phone was ringing a lot and I was working outdoors during the Spring of last year.

I haven’t had as much time for the outdoor work but I’ve been enjoying plenty of phone calls and some outdoor events already.

It is a wonderful time of the year.

Lord willing, I will put some purple showers in the garden before too long.  Those plants are so pretty.

I hope and pray all my Christian friends and family members get to enjoy some days of walking on a beautiful day.

There are some rough things going on in the lives of almost everyone I know.  I just hope everyone still gets some time to stop and smell some flowers or sit by a bubbling brook.  Go skip some rocks at the beach.  Call a friend or family member you haven’t talked with in a while.  Send an email or send a link to this website to another Christian friend.  I may not write things on a daily basis but I try to leave new things on here even if I simply post some Scriptural passages for others to read.

Be blessed Christian friends!! Be blessed and recall that JESUS CHRIST DIED ON THE CROSS FOR YOUR SINS. God raised Jesus from the dead and HE IS STILL ALIVE TODAY.

Beautiful Days

Beautiful Days

I know every day is made by the Lord but some days seem more beautiful than others.

My day seemed beautiful because I was able to work outdoors all day.  The sun shined on me all day long.  I moved colorful rocks making a rock garden.  I put up two trellises with some help from my neighbors.  I cleaned the garage.

Phone calls came my way while I was working.  I wasn’t able to answer each call because I couldn’t get in the door quick enough with things always in my hands.  The people that did reach me helped me feel blessed that they were thinking of me.

My closest neighbors sat in the yard with me and we talked.  I walked them back to their yard and we got to see a bluebird.

Almost everything that happened today made me feel happy.

It’s days like this that help us get through the rough ones.
